What is real spiritual growth?

What Is Spiritual Growth Really About?

Spiritual growth isn’t about incense, crystals, or meditating for 20 minutes a day.
It’s not about positive affirmations, Instagram angels, or pretending to be “high vibe.”

For me, spiritual growth is about returning to who you truly are.
It’s the process of unlearning everything you’ve been programmed with, so you can remember who you were before the world told you who to be.

It’s a return to Source.
And I’m not talking about some religious figure here — I’m talking about what you deeply feel in your heart.
That state when everything feels aligned, real, present.

To me, spiritual growth is a form of learning.
Not the school kind.
But a deep learning of how to stay close to what’s true.

It’s about discovering who you really are here, in what I call this “theater” — this stage called Earth.

Because we’re not just bodies.
We’re souls in a human costume.
And we came here to remember something, to experience something, to grow.
But to grow from the soul’s perspective — not the ego’s.

Many well-known spiritual teachers say the same thing — just in different words.
Michael A. Singer says that spiritual growth is “the process of letting go of everything you’re not.”
Eckhart Tolle says it’s about living from presence — the here and now.
Deepak Chopra calls it “a return to your source state.”

But the way I see it? It’s a return to yourself. To the version of you that existed before the world changed you.

For me, spiritual growth is also about observing life from a different perspective.
From that deeper place that can’t be reached through intellect.
That place some call Consciousness.

It’s the awareness behind all thoughts and emotions.
The presence that sees everything.

Every day, I ask myself:

  • Why is my consciousness observing all of this?
  • Why am I here, in this specific life, with this specific mind?
  • What am I here to learn?
  • And what’s truly mine, and what was given to me by others?

And that — that inner investigation — is spiritual growth.
It’s not about escaping life.
It’s about learning to see it from a deeper perspective.

Not to float in the clouds.
But to be fully here — consciously. From the level of the soul.
To understand yourself, your path, and why you chose to come here.

That’s what spirituality is.
The real kind. The grounded kind.
Not always easy.
But always leading you… back to yourself.
